Samsung’s second-generation quantum smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy Quantum 2. When comparing the Samsung A Quantum to its predecessor, there are a few things to be thrilled about. The quantum number generator chipset and a new design are among the highlights.
Despite having a different design than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Quantum 2 isn’t exactly a new addition to Samsung’s design lineup. Samsung essentially took design inspirations from a previous model.
A first glimpse at the smartphone, particularly the back panel, brings to mind the Samsung Galaxy A32 And Galaxy A52. A square camera module with three cameras and an LED flash may be found here. The OEM marking is also on the back, indicating that this is a Samsung Smartphone.
Moving forward from the back panel, we find a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED display with a punch hole in the upper-middle position. This display is almost the same size as the Galaxy A Quantum’s display. However, the Galaxy Quantum 2 has a higher resolution as well as a faster refresh rate.
We now have a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels instead of the 1080 x 2400 pixels we had on the Galaxy Quantum. We also have a 524 PPI density and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
Please keep in mind that the 120Hz refresh rate is only available with a 1080p resolution; scaling up to QHD (1440 x 3200) would retain the refresh rate at 60Hz. This could be interpreted as a battery-saving tactic.
Samsung opted for a Qualcomm processor this year, giving us the Snapdragon 855+ from 2019, rather than the Exynos 980 found in the Galaxy A Quantum.
The Adreno 640 GPU and 6GB RAM are also on the performance line, but they fall short of the Galaxy A Quantum’s 8GB RAM. There’s also 128GB of internal storage and a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 4500mAh.
On the software front, we have One UI 3.1 running on the Android 11 platform.
