Whatsapp users are digitally savvy
Users on Whatsapp are often early technology adopters. They are digitally savvy and are always looking for the latest trends in technology. This makes them an ideal target market for your business.
Whatsapp is a very established messaging app that many people use regularly. It has a broad reach so you can target any group of people with this marketing platform. You can also be assured that there won’t be any language barriers because it’s all in English – which means you don’t have to worry about translating anything into other languages.
The demographics of WhatsApp users represent a good opportunity for your business to grow. People on Whatsapp tend to be younger than 40 years old and they’re very active on their phones, sending more messages than any other social media app.
They want content that is both relevant and engaging, so if your business can provide that then these are the people who will be interested in what you have to say about your products or services on Whatsapp.
One of the most important things about using WhatsApp as a marketing tool is understanding what features you should use and how to use them successfully. Read on to learn more about this topic below!
Using Whatsapp for marketing
Whatsapp is a great way to promote your business. It has more than 1 billion active users and it’s easy to use, making it a good platform for marketing. Whatsapp can be used as a complement to other marketing campaigns or as a standalone tool.
There are many ways you can use Whatsapp for marketing, but the most important thing is to understand how it works. That starts with understanding the demographics of Whatsapp’s users.
One of the reasons for Whatsapp’s popularity is its simple design. Users find it easy to use and that’s why they spend hours on the app every day—on average, 18 minutes per day! The app also has lots of features that allow users to personalize their experience; they can change their font size, choose different colors, add emojis, etcetera.
It’s important when using whatsapp for marketing purposes to make sure your message stands out against other messages in people’s chats so they don’t miss yours! There are many different features available: pictures, videos, text messages, voice messages and emojis all help you get your message across in an engaging way.
You should take advantage of these features by highlighting them in your message – for example by using a large picture or including an emoji reaction gif within the text message itself! What you should know about using Whatsapp as a marketing tool for your business
Whatsapp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, with an estimated 1 billion active users and 80% of those users living outside of the US. It has a broad reach, meaning that you can reach your customers on Whatsapp no matter where they live.
Plus, it’s easy to use and has a simple design. This means that if someone is interested in your product or service but doesn’t have time to read about it online or call your company, they could send you a Whatsapp message instead.
There are many different features on Whatsapp which you can use for marketing purposes. The most important ones are:
- Status Update: You can post updates about your company or product with this feature. Make sure to include a link in these posts so that people know where they can learn more information about what you’re promoting.
- Group Conversations: You should create one group conversation for each campaign you’re running so that all participants are included and can easily share information. This will also allow others to be added as needed without disturbing older conversations. – Broadcast Messages: If you want to send messages to all of your contacts at once, this is the best option for you! But make sure not to spam them as this could lead people to block you from their profiles.
- Chat Messages: One on one conversations might be better for specific inquiries or deals (ex: “Reduced price!”), but
Know the demographics of your customers
According to Pew Research, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and WeChat were the three most popular messaging apps in the world in February 2016, with a combined user base of 2.3 billion people.
Whatsapp’s audience is largely composed of emerging markets, with 72% of its users residing outside the U.S and Europe. This makes it a valuable marketing tool for any business hoping to target these regions.
The demographics of your customers are important when you’re considering what social media platforms you should use for advertising purposes. For example, if your customers are mostly adults between 25-45 years old who have good incomes, then you might want to pay more attention to platforms like Twitter or LinkedIn. But if your customers are teenagers and young adults who live in developing countries, then Whatsapp might be a better choice for you.
Know how to use whatsapp features
The first thing you need to do is learn how to use whatsapp features. This can be a little confusing at first, but it’s not too hard once you get the hang of it.
The most important feature that you’ll need to know is the “Add New” button. As well as being able to send pictures, voice messages and videos, Whatsapp allows users to share contact details or a website link with others in their contacts list. You can also set up alerts for important events like birthdays or anniversaries (Whatsapp will automatically send notifications for these), as well as create groups for people who are in your contact list.
Another useful feature is the option to make your account invisible to other Whatsapp users and limit who can view your profile picture, name and status updates in “Who can see my status?”
It’s also worth exploring the “Chat Settings” tab which includes settings such as adding a profile picture from your phone’s camera roll, setting up notifications for when someone shares media with you, and enabling read receipts so that whoever you’re talking to always knows when you’ve read their message.
What features should you use?
The first thing you’ll want to do is create a Whatsapp account. Once you do that, it’s time to start exploring the features.
Whatsapp has three key features: Status messages, WhatsApp groups and WhatsApp videos.
Status messages are short messages, typically under 140 characters in length, that can be sent out to individual users or a group of people. They’re similar to Facebook updates or tweets and they can be used for communicating anything from products available in your store to the latest news stories.
Groups are a free way of connecting with other people on Whatsapp who have similar interests. There are two types of groups on Whatsapp – public groups and private groups. Public groups allow anyone to join the group by following a link but only approved members can make posts or send new invitations to other members. Private Groups work like any other messaging service.
You need an invitation from an existing member before you are added as a new member of the group. This is useful if you want more privacy when discussing business matters or sharing information about your company with family and friends.
Videos are an up-and-coming feature on WhatsApp that allows you to share videos via the app itself rather than requiring someone using another application like Messenger or Instagram video chat features. This feature could be used for broadcasting live video feeds or recording short videos on demand for marketing purposes.>>>END
How to use the features of Whatsapp
In order to communicate with your customers, you need to understand the features of Whatsapp. There are many features to choose from which can help you in your marketing efforts. The most notable of these is the ability to send messages to groups.
You can send a message to an individual or broadcast a message to many people all at once. When you want to target a specific group, this is where you should start. Another useful feature is the ability for users to reply privately by swiping up on the message. This limits visibility and enables more privacy when replying to messages.

Next, in order to start sharing content, you’ll want to create groups (here’s a guide on how to create groups). Groups are private conversations between members of the group that cannot be seen by outsiders. They’re one of the best ways to connect with like-minded users and potential customers.
Once you have created the group, it’s time to start posting content! You can post anything from photos and videos of your products or services, links to articles related to your industry, and how-to guides for various topics related to your business.
You should also consider adding unique hashtags (#) that relate specifically to what we’re talking about in our posts so that people searching for similar things can find them in their feed quickly and easily.
The Dos and Don’ts of Whatsapp Marketing
Using Whatsapp as a marketing tool can be tricky. There are a number of dos and don’ts that you should follow if you want to do it well.
- Don’t use Whatsapp for conversations about your business. This is because the messages will be tied to your phone number, which is shared with anyone who has the app on their phone.
- Do create a separate whatsapp account for your business as opposed to using an existing personal account. If you share your personal Whatsapp account with people from work, they are able to see what’s going on in your private life. Even if you used the app for business purposes, it will create unnecessary distractions for those trying to get their work done when they know that someone else is available at any time.
- Don’t use WhatsApp as a place to ask people whether or not they’re interested in what you’re selling based on the first message they sent. This is because more often than not, they’re going to say no and then block you from further contact due to spamming them.
- Do use WhatsApp as a way of connecting with current customers who already know and like your product or service in order to provide them incentives or exclusive information about new products or promotions. You can also ask them questions so that you have useful feedback on how effective certain campaigns have been.
