The Tecno Camon 17 continues where the Tecno Camon 16 left off. As a result, it provides enthusiasts with better smartphone hardware, the most notable of which is the inclusion of the Helio G85 processor. Putting aside the benefits of the enhancements, there are several features on the Camon 16 that were better.
Tecno has consistently demonstrated its capacity to maintain churning out smartphones with distinct designs in a world when repetition in smartphone design has become par for the course for several smartphone brands.
Starting with the rear arrangement, we have a basic color scheme, as opposed to the Camon 16’s gradient design. Frost Silver, Deep Sea, and Tranquil Green are some of the color options offered on this device. Plastic makes up the back cover.
When looking at the camera positions on the back, it’s clear that the Camon 16 has a horizontal design, whilst the Camon 16 has a vertical design. The Camon branding is also prominently displayed, with the Tecno branding lying on top of it, and a capacitive fingerprint sensor.
Because of the uncanny similarities between the Camon 17 and its predecessor, devotees may find it difficult to distinguish the Camon 17 from its predecessor if the front panel is the only portion of the phone they have to consider.
The Camon 17’s front-end arrangement is similar to that of its predecessor. A display with a punch-hole camera in the top left corner, similar to the Camon 16, may be found here.
Although the positions appear to be comparable, the display is actually smaller, measuring 6.6 inches as opposed to 6.8 inches on its predecessor. In addition, the resolution has been reduced from 1080 to 720 x 1600 pixels.
Tecno is offering a 90Hz refresh rate, the first of its kind in the Camon series, which could serve as a deterrent to enthusiasts who are overly concerned with the lower resolution and smaller screen size.
