If you’re a regular MSN user, chances are good that you’ve logged in to your account at some point in time. In fact, many people who don’t use MSN use a different, less popular web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (the latter of which is surprisingly popular among MSN users). Regardless, you probably at some point in time needed to know how to login to MSN.
Even if you’ve logged in to your account before, you may not have known that you needed to know the precise steps that would allow you to do so. In this article, we’ll take you through these steps in detail and provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to login to your MSN account.
Step 1: Log into your MSN Account
It’s important to note that you will be logged into your account when you login. As such, you can log into your account from just about any device that allows you to go online. Turn on your computer and laptop, start a web browser, go to the URL of your account, and log in.
If the account is set up to allow you to log in from multiple devices, you can log in from one device and access the account from another. It’s a good idea to try logging in on each device and accessing the account to make sure that you log in on every device that you can.
If you’re having problems logging in, or if you have lost your password and need to reset it, you can use the same steps to log in to your account.

To verify your account, click on the “Verify Account” button. You’ll then be prompted to log into your account once more. Once you’re logged in, the account should be verified.
If you have an account that is not verified, you can click on the button in the upper-right that says “Unverified” to be taken to a page where you can click on the “Verify Account” button and verify your account.
Step 3: Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
Your account may allow for two-factor authentication. If it does, you’ll see an option for two-factor authentication on the page where you verify your account.
If you have two-factor authentication set up, you’ll need to enter a code that is sent to your phone. To get the code, you’ll need to enable a security feature on your phone known as “Security Code”.
If you have two-factor authentication set up, log in to your account, click on the “More Options” button at the bottom of the page, and then click on the “Security” tab. You’ll then see a section on the right side of the screen that says “Security:”. In that section, you’ll see an option that says “Security Code”. Click on that option to bring up a new page where you can enter your code.

Once you enter your code, your account should be verified.

Step 4: Change Your Password
When you first set up your account, you were expected to set a strong password that could be difficult for others to crack. As such, you may have set a password that you’ve never changed until now. It’s important to change your password regularly, as even if it’s strong now, it may not be as strong later on.
If you need to change your password, you can do so at any time by logging into your account, clicking on the “Settings” button in the upper-right corner of the page, clicking on the “Change Password” link, and following the steps that are provided.
Step 5: Hide Your Account from Others
If you use some services, there’s a chance that you may want to hide your account from others. For example, if you have a public account, you may not want to have it visible to everyone.
You can do this by clicking on the “Settings” button in the upper-right corner of the page, clicking on the “Privacy & Sharing” link, and then clicking on the “Accounts” link. From there, you can toggle the “Anyone can see this account” option to “Only you can see this account”.
If you need to hide your account from others, simply toggle that option to the “Only you can see this account” setting.

Logging in to a Microsoft account
As you may have logged in multiple times to your account, you may have noticed that each time you logged in, you were asked for a password. Some accounts will have you enter your username and password, while others will ask you to log in with a Microsoft account.
If your account requires you to log in with a Microsoft account, log in, click on the “Settings” button in the upper-right corner of the page, click on the “Accounts” link, and there you’ll see an option that says “Add another account”. Click on that option to bring up another page where you can log in to your account with a Microsoft account.
Set a Security Question and Answer
Your account may also have a feature that allows you to set a security question and answer. This feature allows you to keep track of your password in case you forget it. For example, you can set up a question that you can’t answer to retrieve your password. You probably won’t want to use this feature much since it allows someone to access your account even if you forget your password, but it’s a good idea to set one up just in case.
Log in to your account, click on the “Settings” button in the upper-right corner of the page, click on the “Accounts” link, and there you’ll see an option that says “Set a security question and answer”. Click on that option to bring up another page where you can set a security question and answer.
Set up an SMS Code
Finally, your account may also have a feature that allows you to set up an SMS code. This feature allows you to verify your account from an old-school landline phone, a feature that many people still have.
If you have an account that allows you to set up an SMS code, you’ll see a box on the right side of the screen labeled “Set up an SMS code”. Click on that box to bring up a page where you can set up your code.
