The process of folding a fitted sheet is similar to that of riding a bicycle: At first, it could appear unduly complex, but after you’ve completed it successfully, it becomes second nature. To keep your bedding tidy and crisp, we’re here to offer those symbolic training wheels.
Putting your fine bed linens away neatly in a location where they won’t be exposed to everyday calamities is one approach to ensure that your investment lasts as long as possible. Warning: Putting the sheet in a ball at the top of your closet is a surefire way to cause a rip or a mountain of dust. These are the methods that will quickly transform you from a crumpled mess into neatly folded fitted sheets.

How To Fold Fitted Sheet Like a Pro
Start With a Wrinkle Free Sheet
Fold your fitted sheets as soon as they come out of the dryer while they’re still warm to reduce creases.
Drape the Sheet Over Your Hands and Flip
Grasp the fitted sheet firmly in each upper corner with one hand. With the elastic band facing you, that is. Grasp the corners of the sheet and turn only the upper two corners inside out, allowing the elastic edge of the fitted sheet to face away from you on only the top. The bottom two corners’ elastic edges will still be facing you.
Bring Top Corners Together and Flip
With the top elastic edge facing you and the bottom elastic facing away, turn the entire sheet over. As though you were clapping in front of yourself, put your hands in the pockets in the upper corners and bring them together. It is ideal for both upper corners to contact. Place one upper corner on top of the other.
Create a Pocket With the Bottom Corners
With one hand, bring the two bottom corners together, and with the other, hold the top corners together. Put your hand between the two bottom corners of the pocket.
Flip the bed sheet over by 180 degrees. (Tuck the collected edges of your folded sheet into one another.)
Fold the Sheet in Half
Reposition your hold so that the folded seam is at the bottom and the gathered and tucked elastic is facing you, with two corners in your left hand and the remaining two in your right. Stack your hands so that the pockets line up.
Flip the Corners
Slide the right pocket of corners over the left pocket of corners with one hand.
Lay the Sheet on the Bed and Fold
Lay the bed sheet down. To produce a straight edge, fold the longer portion of the curved edge a few inches toward the center, keeping the gathered sides of the elastic facing up. By now, the sheet ought to be a rectangle. Fold lengthwise in half, then into thirds.
