How To Change Hair Colour Without Dying It

Sage

Sage is a fantastic choice if you have dark brown or black hair and wish to slightly darken it. It can intensify brunette hair colours and aid in obliterating grey hairs.

To colour your hair with sage:

  1. Steep dried sage for at least 30 minutes in a quart of boiling water, between 1/2 and 1 cup at a time. (The hue may be darker the longer you let it steep.)
  2. Strain the sage out after allowing the water to cool.
  3. Pour the sage water over your hair for as long as you can after washing and towel-drying it.
  4. Before washing it out, give the hue at least 15 minutes to develop.

Coffee

You can get more benefits from a cup of brewed coffee than just a caffeine spike. Additionally, it might be able to hide some grey hair and help you tint your hair a tad darker.

To use coffee to colour your hair:

  1. Make a potent dark-roast coffee.
  2. 1 cup of leave-in hair conditioner, 2 tablespoons of coffee grinds, and around 1/2 cup of coffee combined.
  3. To clean, moist hair, apply the mixture.
  4. After letting the mixture sit for at least an hour, wash it out.
  5. If necessary, repeat.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice can help gradually lighten your hair by removing its colour. It works best when applied to generate naturally glowing highlights.

The effects of employing lemon juice are long-lasting in contrast to the other treatments mentioned here, which only produce momentary colour changes. When you add lemon juice to a section of hair, the colour will be removed. By cutting it off, you can get rid of this lightened hair.

  1. Lemon juice should be added to a spray bottle.
  2. Spray your hair with the juice liberally.
  3. Spread and divide the juice evenly through your hair with a comb.
  4. For best outcomes, sit in the sunshine outside.
  5. Lemon juice should be left in for at least an hour before being removed with water.

Carrot juice

If you want to give your hair a reddish-orange tint, try using carrot juice. The tint may remain for a few weeks, depending on the colour of your hair.

To use carrot juice to colour your hair:

  1. Carrot juice should be combined with carrier oil, such as coconut or olive oil.
  2. Apply a lot of the mixture to your hair.
  3. Put your hair in a plastic wrapper and give the mixture at least an hour to set.
  4. Use apple cider vinegar as a rinse. If the colour isn’t strong enough, you can try again the following day.

Beet juice

Use beet juice instead of carrot juice if you prefer a deeper red colour with cooler undertones.

Similar to how you would use carrot juice, you would follow these methods to use beet juice as a natural hair dye:

  1. Juice from beets and carrier oil combined.
  2. After liberally coating your hair with the mixture, wrap it.
  3. Before washing it out, let the mixture sit for at least an hour.
