How to get the right sequence material
Choose the right backing – Some textiles are more prone to fraying than others. If you choose a woven backing like taffeta, chiffon, or organza, ensure sure the hems and seams are properly finished.

How to care for sequin fabrics
Caring for sequin fabrics can actually be very difficult when you don’t know to handle them or what is good and not good for them.
So you need tips on how to care for them since everyone loves sequin fabrics for its shine and sparkles.
Removing stains – Always treat stains on your sequin top using a spotter. In a bowl of cold water, dissolve 2 teaspoons of mild detergent.
Swab the soiled area on the top with a cotton swab dipped in the cleaning solution. Make sure the stained sequins and the base fabric are both covered.
Gently rub the stained area with your fingers. Soak a cotton cloth in plain water and dab the stains to remove the soapy residue.
Hand Washing – It’s simple to hand-wash your pricey sequin top. Soak your top in a pail of cold water after you’ve buttoned or zipped it up and turned it inside out.
Mix 2 tsp mild detergent into the bucket well. Allow 10 minutes for the top to soak in the soapy solution. Take it out and give it a good rinsing with plain water.
It’s important not to scrub or wring your top too hard. Allow your sequin shirt to air dry by spreading it flat on a clean cloth.
Machine Wash – Though it is preferable to hand wash your sequin material if its label confirms that it can be machine washed then no problem go ahead and make use of your washing machine.
Ironing – When ironing your sequin fabrics do not make the mistake of ironing them like your normal wear.
Sequin materials should always be ironed inside out and on very low heat especially for those sequences made with glue to prevent the sequins from falling off.
