The Xiaomi Redmi 9i is the latest member of the Redmi 9 family. The gadget costs Rs 6,799 ($93) in India and comes with 4GB of RAM. The Redmi 9A’s specifications are carried over to the entry-level smartphone. The main differences are the increased RAM and internal storage.
The Redmi 9i has a good looking body that is encased in polycarbonate and glass. In a vertical order, the panel houses the camera and an LED flash.
It weighs 194 grams and measures 164.9 x 77.1 x 9 mm. The phone does not have a fingerprint scanner, but it does have a waterdrop notch and a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display.
The screen has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone also offers a screen-to-body ratio of 81.0 per cent and a typical brightness of 270 nits.
In terms of cameras, the Redmi 9i comes with a dual camera configuration. For photography, there is a single 13 MP camera on the rear with an LED flash and HDR.
In addition, the camera can shoot 1080p films at 30 frames per second. The selfie camera is a single 5-megapixel shooter with the same characteristics as the main camera except for the LED flash. The phone will capture decent images, but not exceptional ones.
