The Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC is the latest device of the Xiaomi-Poco series of top-notch upper-midrange smartphones. Packed inside is a smartphone hardware combination that is an upgrade over the Poco X2 from earlier this year, all for a price tag that falls under the $200 pricing bracket.
You may not have the top-of-the-line IP68 water and dust resistance rating, but you do have an IP53 splash-proof classification. This provides the Poco X3 NFC with an advantage over similarly priced smartphones such as the Infinix Zero 8, which does not include NFC.
We’ve got a camera module with an LED flash and four cameras positioned in a way that gives the idea that you’re in for some real camera hardware on the chassis placements.
On the back, there’s also a black colour strip with prominent Poco branding, which gives the sense that it’s an intentional move by Xiaomi to make consumers regard the POCO brand as an independent brand rather than a division of Xiaomi.
When you look at the front panel, you’ll notice that it’s very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s. The Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a hole-punch camera in the top left corner. This display has a 1080 x 2400 resolution, a 395 PPI density, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Cameras
In terms of cameras, the Poco X3 NFC has a quad-camera arrangement on the back and a single camera setup up front, as opposed to the Poco X2’s twin front-facing camera. A 64MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.9, a 13MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2, a 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4, and a 2MP depth camera with an aperture of f/2.4 make up the phone’s quad rear camera arrangement.
Video recording with the back camera is limited to 4k at 30 frames per second. You can also get 1080p films at 30 or 120 frames per second and 720p videos at 960 frames per second. A single 20MP punch hole camera with an aperture of f/2.2 is in charge of selfies. This camera’s video recording is limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second.
