Design and Display
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Poco M2 Pro share a similar design aesthetic. It does, however, change the appearance and adds a dual pattern to the back panel, which is somewhat similar to what we saw on the Google Pixel 3. The most obvious way to tell it apart from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is the dual pattern on the back. A square camera module with four cameras is also located on the back panel. An LED flash and the Poco branding are also present, indicating that the phone is a Poco product.
We get the same 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen up front, which has a resolution of 1080 x 2400, a pixel density of 395 PPI, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz—much lower than the Xiaomi Redmi K30’s 120 Hz refresh rate. Gorilla Glass 5 is used in the construction of the surrounding buildings, as well as Gorilla Glass 5 up front and plastic for the frame.
The Cameras
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and this device share the same camera features. The number of cameras, sensors, and pixel sizes are all the same. A 48MP primary camera with a Samsung GW2 sensor and an aperture of f/1.8 is located on the back of the device. Additionally, we have a 2MP Macro camera, an 8 MP Ultra Wide camera, and a 2 MP Depth camera, all of which have f/2.2 apertures.
With this set-up, you can capture 4K films at 30 frames per second, 1080p videos at 120 frames per second, and 720p videos at 960 frames per second for slow-motion recordings. For photography, you can also use the HDR and panorama modes.
A single 16MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.5 is in charge of taking selfies. This camera can capture 1080p films at 120 frames per second. For taking pictures, it also provides HDR and panorama modes.
Hardware and Software
You have the same upper-midrange configuration as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro in terms of performance. An Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor and an Adreno 618 graphics processor power this configuration.
Additional performance-enhancing features include the choice of 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, and a non-removable 5000mAh battery. Additionally, a 33W fast charger is included, which is quicker than the Redmi Note 9 Pro’s 18W charger.
On the software front, you have Android 10 with MIUI 11 running on top of it.
