The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold isn’t Xiaomi’s first attempt at foldable technology, but it is the first Xiaomi Foldable smartphone to hit the market. Xiaomi had a lot to learn from some of the major companies who were pushing their own foldable when it joined the market. As a result, the Mi Mix fold should be the result of Xiaomi’s observation and commitment to creating a suitable foldable smartphone.

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold series has been a leading player in the fold smartphone market, with the most units sold. So it’s no surprise that Xiaomi followed Huawei’s lead with the Mate X2.
The Huawei Mate X2 has a cover display that can be used for a variety of fast tasks and a huge screen inside that can be accessible by unfolding the smartphone, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 folding technology.
An 8.01-inch foldable AMOLED display is included in the fold. This display has a resolution of 1860 x 2480 pixels and a density of 387 pixels per inch.
The exterior (cover) display is a 6.52-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 840 x 2520 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 frames per second.
Moving on to the chassis, we can choose between an aluminum or ceramic frame, glass for the cover display, and plastic for the unfolded display. This build combination is similar to what we’ve seen on recently introduced foldable phones.
