The Vivo Y20s is a higher-end version of Vivo’s Y20 smartphone. The only thing that sets it apart is that it has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device was one of the company’s inexpensive cellphones that were announced a few weeks ago. The Vivo Y20s has a 6.51-inch IPS display and three cameras on the back.
The Vivo Y20s join the Vivo Y70, Vivo Y11s, and Vivo X51 5G in the Vivo lineup. Although it falls into the budget category, it has more storage and RAM than the Vivo Y20.
The Vivo Y20s has a good-looking body. The entire panel is encased in plastic, with the cameras, an LED flash, and a Vivo branded logo marking the phone’s brand.
It does not, however, weigh that much, weighing 192 g and measuring 164.4 x 76.3 x 8.4 mm. The frame is constructed of plastic as well, which isn’t too bad considering the device’s budget.
On the front, we have a glass screen with thin bezels at the bottom, as is customary. A waterdrop notch is also present, with a display size of 6.51 inches and an IPS LCD panel.
It has a 720 x 1600 pixel resolution, a tall 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 270 PPI density. The display is protected by glass, and the gadget has an 81.6 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
On the performance front, the inexpensive phone is equipped with a Qualcomm SM4250 Snapdragon 460 CPU built on an 11nm process. An octa-core processor with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz powers the chip.
The graphics processor is an Adreno 610, and the user interface is Funtouch 10.5 or Funtouch 11 based on the Android 10 operating system.
There are two types of RAM available. There is a 4GB RAM variant, a 6GB RAM model, and an 8GB RAM model, all of which have the same internal capacity of 128GB, which can be expanded via the dedicated slot on the inside.
