Here, you’ll be prompted with a list of items that are allowed to be sold on Facebook Marketplace. You can select them by tapping (selecting) one item at a time or by scrolling through the list of items available. Once selected, these items will appear in the space below where it says “Items I’m Selling”.
Price smartly
One of the first things you can do to improve your success on Facebook Marketplace is price your items smartly. You want to charge a pretty penny for your item, but not too much that you take away the incentive for people to buy it.
If you’re selling an iPhone, don’t list it at $500 because everyone knows iPhones are worth way more than that. You want to price it at around $300, or somewhere in that ballpark.
When pricing your items, always compare them to what other sellers are listing their items for first. The prices will help determine how much you should charge for your product.
Make sure your products are in good condition
Facebook Marketplace is a great opportunity to sell your used products. But, there are some things you need to do in order to ensure that people will buy them.
One of the most important aspects of Facebook Marketplace is presentation. Your post or ad should convey that your product is in good condition. Make sure any potential buyer can tell the product is clean and ready for use if they decide to purchase it.
This can be done by including close-up pictures of the product, showing off all the good qualities, and offering a clear description of what exactly you’re selling.

Additionally, make sure your prices are reasonable. If you are overpriced on Facebook Marketplace, people won’t buy from you. They may assume that your products are not worth their time or money so they will search elsewhere for better deals.
But if you price your products appropriately and offer big discounts during special periods like Black Friday, people may be more inclined to purchase from you even if it’s not their first choice because they know they’ll be saving money with your company.
Another tip? Make sure your post or ad is high quality! People will more likely want to click through on an ad that looks professional than one that just has text on it with blurry images or unclear information about what you’re selling. A good way to ensure this is by making sure the lighting in the images is bright (shouldn’t be too dark) and showing off all of the features of
Take high-quality photos for your listing
First and foremost, if you want people to buy your item, you need to take high-quality photos. You may think that the best photos are those taken with a professional camera, but this is not always the case.
Facebook Marketplace has its own style of photography that allows for more creativity than other social media sites. For example, you can zoom in on an item and show details that might be hard to see otherwise.
Keep your items relevant to the season and trending topics
Although you can post anything on Facebook Marketplace, it’s best to keep your items relevant to the season and trending topics. For example, if Christmas is coming up, you should have Christmas themed items. You will be able to post these items at the top of search results so people are more likely to find them.
Likewise, posting relevant items makes it easier for people searching for something specific to find what they’re looking for.
Give a call-to-action for people to buy your stuff
One of the best ways to make sure you’re selling as much as possible on Facebook Marketplace is by giving a call-to-action. This is a way for people to know what they should do with your post and why they should do it. Your call-to-action might say: “call now and we’ll talk about our new products!” or “this deal won’t last long!”
Another good way to make sure people are clicking on your link is by making your Facebook Marketplace post more eye catching. You can do this by adding a photo of your items, telling them how much you’re selling it for, and having a catchy description that rouses their interest.
Why Sell on Facebook Marketplace?
Facebook Marketplace is a new way to buy and sell used stuff near you. One of the biggest advantages of Facebook Marketplace is that it’s easy to use. You can list your products or browse through other people’s listings without leaving Facebook. If you want to, you can even conduct private conversations with potential buyers and sellers in the app.
The other advantage? With Facebook Marketplace, you don’t need to worry about shipping because everything is done for you. Buyers and sellers meet up at the designated location and take care of it from there. It’s as simple as that!
When people are looking for products on social media, they might not go to a website like eBay or Amazon, but they might check out what their friends are selling on Facebook Marketplace.
Especially if those friends share something they like or use often such as clothes or home decor items — making them more likely to want that item themselves. That means that by going on Facebook Marketplace, you have a higher chance of finding a customer that would be interested in buying your stuff!

How to Find the Facebook Marketplace App
To sell on Facebook Marketplace, you’ll need to download the Facebook Marketplace app. If you don’t have the app yet, it’s easy to find. Simply go to your mobile phone’s app store and search for “Facebook Marketplace.” Once you find the app, tap “Get” and download it.
Creating A Listing
Creating a listing is simple. The only thing you have to do is go to the app or website, type in what you’re selling, set your price, and take some pictures.
However, if you want to sell something successfully on Facebook Marketplace you need to make sure that it’s attractive enough that people will buy it.
You can do this by taking great pictures of your products and making sure they showcase what they look like. If you’re selling clothes, for example, make sure you take pictures of them on a hanger with the tag still on so people know exactly what they are buying.
If you’re selling more expensive items like furniture or electronics make sure to include multiple pictures so the buyer can get an idea of how it looks from all angles. Another important detail is including details like size, color, and whether or not there are any flaws in the product that might affect its condition.
Reaching Your Audience
One of the most important aspects of selling on Facebook Marketplace is reaching your audience.
In order to sell successfully on Facebook Marketplace, you need to know your audience. Facebook’s new platform has made it a lot easier to target a certain audience. You can choose a location or decide who you want to see your ads by household income, gender, and age.
But, even if you do reach an audience, don’t stop there! There are some great ways to get people interested in what you’re selling by doing more than just posting ads on the page.
If you have something for sale that will appeal to a broad range of people, then put it on multiple Facebook pages with different audiences. For example, if you have a child-related product for sale, put it on both Dad and Mom groups. This strategy will help ensure that the right people see your product and message.
