The Oppo Reno 4 is the previously launched Oppo Reno 4 5G’s non-5G variant. You are given a slower processor, a smaller storage choice, slower charging speeds, and much more in addition to the lack of 5G support. This is comparable to the situation we encountered with the Oppo Reno 3 and Oppo Reno 3 5G.
Design and Display
Really not much can be said about the design. The Oppo Reno 4 and Oppo Reno 4 5G use the same chassis. The choice of colors in this case makes a difference. Galactic Blue and Space Black are the available colors here, while Black, Blue, and Purple are the three available colors for the Reno 4 5G.
Along with offering several color choices, the build properties have decreased. The majority of the construction of this device is made of plastic, including the frame and the rear covering, as opposed to the glass and aluminum combination on the 5G version. We now come to the display, which is a 6.4-inch AMOLED. This monitor has a screen density of 411 PPI and a resolution of 1080 x 2400.
The Cameras
In contrast to the 5G version, which has a triple camera arrangement, the Oppo Reno 4 has a quadruple rear camera setup. A macro camera is now included in this new camera arrangement.
A 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.7, an 8MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2, a 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4, and a 2MP depth camera with an aperture of f/2.4 make up this Android phone’s rear cameras.
The maximum video resolution for this back camera array is 4K@30fps. Additional features include 1080p video, HDR, and panorama photo modes. A single 32MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture controls selfies. Videos captured by this camera can be up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. You may also take images in HDR mode.
Hardware and Software
Processing power is declining, as was stated in the introduction. Instead of the Snapdragon 765 processor found in the more expensive Oppo Reno 4 5G, the Oppo Reno 4 chooses a Snapdragon 720G processor.
An Andreno 618 graphics processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in storage, and a non-removable 4015 mAh battery are additional characteristics that improve performance on this device.
On the software front, we have the Android 10 operating system with the ColorOS 7.2 user interface.
