Infinix Zero 5G is the company’s first 5G smartphone. The MediaTek MT6877 Dimensity 900 5G CPU is the same as on the Tecno Pova 5G. Infinix Zero 5G ditches the AMOLED display found on the Zero X and Zero X Pro in favour of an IPS display comparable to the Zero X Neo.

Though the switch from AMOLED to IPS appears to be a step back, the addition of additional battery capacity and a more efficient processor may make it superior in terms of battery life.

The efficient 6 nm processor, along with top-of-the-line LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 built-in storage, could give it a speed bump. You’ll also receive access to cutting-edge new technologies like 5G and Wi-Fi 6.

Design and Display

The Infinix Zero 5G has an all-plastic construction with a glass front. The front camera is located at the top centre of the screen, in an Infinity-O cutout. The three rear cameras are vertically placed on a bump on the back. The bump also has two dual-LED flashes.

The Infinix Zero 5G lacks the under-display fingerprint sensor seen on the Infinix Zero X and Zero X Pro due to the lack of an AMOLED display. Instead, like the Zero X Neo, the fingerprint sensor has been relocated to the side.

The Infinix Zero 5G has a 6.78-inch IPS display with a 1080 x 2460 pixel resolution. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming or watching fast-paced entertainment, as well as a brightness of up to 500 nits.

Cameras

On the back, the Infinix Zero 5G has a 48 megapixel triple AI camera for capturing those special moments. A 48-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2X optical zoom, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor make up the camera.

Phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and Panorama are supported by the back camera, which includes two dual-LED flashes. It can also record videos in 4K resolution. For selfies, there’s a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera on the front. For the selfie camera, there is also a front-facing LED dual-LED flash.
