Everybody encounters this bothersome issue from time to time. However, how are these coffee table rings cleaned? Is it possible to get rid of these stains? Will they remain there indefinitely? You want your coffee table to last because you adore it.

Why Do Water Rings Form?

Cold Beverages

The moisture in the air condenses as a result of the temperature differential between the warm air and the cold glass. How to Remove Coffee Table Rings
Turn Up the Heat
It may sound odd, but sometimes applying additional heat is the greatest way to get rid of white rings brought on by heat. Moisture becomes trapped in the wood’s and the finish’s pores. Therefore, by using dry heat to open those pores once more, you allow the moisture to escape.
This can be completed in a few different ways. Try a basic hair dryer first. Point it directly at the stain while it is on the low heat setting.
To avoid damaging the table, keep a few inches away from it. No elbow grease is needed; just use a side-to-side motion, and the stain should be entirely removed in a few minutes. You could also use an iron if that method doesn’t work. Place the towel over the stain once it has been cleaned and dried.
Take out your iron now and set it to the lowest heat setting without using any steam. For a few minutes, move the iron back and forth over the towel. Periodically check to see if the stain has disappeared. Once more, avoid using steam with the iron. Doing so will result in a huge white blob rather than a white ring.
The Method of Mayonnaise
This strategy will appear completely insane if the first one seemed a little odd. However, it’s true that white rings on wooden coffee tables can be effectively removed using mayonnaise—yes, the sandwich sauce. Is there anything this condiment can’t do, like clear tables, make sandwiches, or make chicken salad?
This is effective since mayonnaise contains natural oils. Because these oils are rather rich, they can naturally seep through the wood’s finish and let the moisture out.
Apply a tiny bit of mayonnaise on the ring after making sure the stain is totally dry. When you wake up, take a rag and gently buff the mayonnaise off of it after letting it stay there for a few hours or overnight. It should be fully clear of the white ring.
The Toothpaste Trick
Water stains on coffee tables can also be removed using toothpaste, which is another odd technique. Although it may seem strange, it’s preferable to shelling out a lot of cash for a pricey wood polish or cleaner.
You’ll need a certain kind of toothpaste for this to work. You need white toothpaste that isn’t whitening and doesn’t contain any gel. For this one, get the essentials. The toothpaste’s alkaline qualities do a fantastic job of gently removing the stain from the wood.
Mix one part toothpaste with two parts baking soda to create a thick paste. Make sure to apply your mixture exclusively to the stained region of the stain. If Everything Else Fails

Remove the wood’s finish and refinish it entirely to remove this stain. If you only test this in one place, it won’t work. The appearance of that one section will be entirely different from the rest of the table.
Grab some sandpaper (an orbital sander is a good tool to have) and sand the table until the finish is gone and the naked wood is visible. Get your new finish and apply it after sanding the affected area to ensure the stain is gone.
