Have you ever felt like you’re not in control of your life? You feel like everything is going to go wrong, and then one day it did. Your email inbox is flooded with requests for Yelp reviews, and you can’t seem to get a break. You hit the “delete” button on your Yelp account, but it still doesn’t work.

Why? Yelp is a website that connects people who are looking for restaurants and businesses in a specific city with those who are looking for reviews. When you delete your Yelp account, your business information and all of your reviews will be deleted as well.
If this happens to you, don’t worry! There are a few ways to fix this so that your old Yelp account still works and all of your reviews still stay online.
How to Delete Your Yelp Account
If you have a Yelp account, there’s a good chance that you’ve deleted it before. Maybe you’ve had a bad experience with one of the businesses you listed or maybe the business moved and changed its address. Either way, if you don’t want to risk your account getting flagged by Yelp, it’s time to get rid of it.
The first thing is to think about why you deleted your account in the first place. Did someone cancel their order? Did they just not show up for a scheduled event? If so, it’s likely because your profile was up against someone else’s who took advantage of it. Don’t worry though… there are ways around this problem.
To delete your Twitter or Facebook account, use an app like Yik Yak , which makes it easy to post updates using only your phone number and location information and no other personal information—no email addresses or other data fields can be used.
Then hit “Delete Account” on either site and wait for your notifications to go away before deleting your account at all. That way, even if someone else posts on social media while you’re gone, they won’t be able to see what happened!
How to Post a Review on Yelp
Yelp should be an easy way for you to get free tips and tricks about your business. You can find all sorts of useful information there, from reviews to helpful advice. But sometimes, the reviews aren’t up to snuff. Maybe they don’t match what you were hoping for, or maybe the businesses are doing something that doesn’t look like it meets Yelp standards.
If this happens, it can be tough to get your Yelp account back up and running again. Luckily, there are a few steps that can help!
# Find out why your review isn’t working:
The first step is to figure out why your review isn’t working. What might have gone wrong? Is the business not doing well? Are they not what you thought they would be? Once you know what you need to fix, take action!
Sometimes it’s as simple as using your email address in the review instead of a username. With just a few clicks, you’ll be able to get your review back up and running!

How to Restore Your Yelp Account
You’ve probably heard how important your Yelp account is to your business. You use it for customer reviews and for advertising because it’s a great way to get the word out about your business.
If you’re not sure what happened and how to get it back up and running, here are some things to check first:
- Is the email address you used on Yelp still valid?
- Did you turn off automatic email notifications? (Yelp can send emails based on certain criteria.)
- Did you change the password? (This is optional but can help prevent unauthorized use of your account.)

Reactivate your account if you need it
If you need to reactivate your account, here’s what you can do:
1. Log into your account with the email and password you used when you first created it.
2. Click “Login” in the upper-right corner of your screen.
3. Enter your username and password (you already know these, but if you forget them, just reach for the Reset button at the top of this page). If you haven’t been logged in for a while or forgot your username or password, click “Forgot my username?” at the bottom of this page and enter your email address to reset it.
4. After logging into your account, go back to this page and click “Sign In.” You should see a green login box appear on screen with an orange checkmark next to it. If that doesn’t happen, don’t worry! It’s happening! Just wait a few moments—it could take 30-60 seconds for everything to sync up.
Find out what happened to your Yelp account
Before you can get your Yelp account back up and running, it’s important to know exactly what happened. When a business is unable to post reviews, there might be a number of reasons why.
Maybe the business has shut down or moved locations, so it can’t post any reviews anymore. Maybe the business doesn’t have its own Yelp page, so it needs someone else to post reviews for them.
Or maybe the business just wasn’t paying for its listing anymore, which means that no one could sign up for it anymore. Whatever the reason may be, if you want your account back up and running again after this happens, you need to know what happened — and being able to identify the problem will make things easier moving forward.
Reset your password
If you were to reset your password, how would you do it? You could send an email or text message to the business that you like. Or, you could even call them and request a new password. But what if both of those options are just too overwhelming for the small business owner or startup?
Fortunately, there’s an easy way to reset your Yelp account without having to leave your home and go back into the office.
Here’s how:
1. Go to [http://secure.yelp.com/user/signin]
2. Click on “My Account”
3. Under “Account Settings,” click on “Reset my password!”
