Bearing top-notch offerings for smartphone gaming has thus far been the selling element in the ROG series. The ASUS ROG Phone 5 re-affirms this fact, with offerings that set it in a place as a successor to the ASUS ROG Phone 3 which was also a great gaming smartphone in its prime.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5 design builds on the chassis of its predecessor, giving us a familiar look with extra aesthetic features.
Placing an opaque case on this smartphone may let it pass as ordinary, but a full reveal reveals its gaming DNA in spades, as the placements on the back speak volumes.
The ROG logo with LED lights, whose colors can be changed with the Armoury Crate software, is the most eye-catching aspect of its chassis design on the back.
Unlike the ROG phone 5 ultimate’s version, the ROG logo is pretty much the only thing you’ll be able to see on its LED display. You may, however, change the color of the LED lights used for notifications.
Please keep in mind that this Android phone comes in two color options: Phantom Black and Storm White. On the back panel, the color variances are visible.
On the front panel, there’s a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with bezels on the top and bottom that serve as places to rest your hand while playing games. This monitor offers a 1080 x 2488 pixel resolution, 395 PPI density, and a 144Hz refresh rate.
