The Xiaomi Mi 11 is the model for 2021. The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 ultra were two of the best-value smartphones on the market, with pricing well below the $1000 threshold that we’ve come to expect. In 2021, Xiaomi is tugging the same rope with the Xiaomi Mi 11, which has the potential to be one of the best-valued smartphones of the year.
When examining the Xiaomi Mi 11 design and comparing it to its predecessor, the Mi 10, the primary differences can be found on the back. Instead of being aligned in a long array, the back cameras were fixed in a rectangle shape.
In comparison to its predecessor, which had four cameras and an LED flash, the new camera module has three cameras and an LED flash. The Xiaomi branding is also visible on the back, indicating that this is a Xiaomi smartphone.
Fans of the Mi 11 will be able to choose among five colour options: Black, White, Blue, Purple, and Khaki.
Up front, we’re welcomed by a familiar set-up, but on a larger, more sophisticated scale. We got a 6.81-inch display here, as opposed to the Mi 10’s 6.67-inch display.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 has a 120Hz refresh rate, which is higher than the Mi 10’s 90Hz refresh rate. We also get a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch, which is an upgrade over the Mi 10. For protection, Xiaomi included the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which was previously seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
