The Umidigi F3 is 2022 revamp of the F-Series, a smartphone family that was last updated with the Umidigi F2 in 2019. Despite the differences in appearance, the two devices have a lot in common, including the same chipset and battery capacity. The Umidigi F3 has a 6.7-inch screen and a 48-megapixel AI-enhanced rear camera.
In comparison to the Umidigi F2, the Umidigi F3 appears to prioritize affordability. This is because the F3 retains the same Helio P70 processor as its predecessor, despite being released three years later.
The front and rear cameras have been lowered from 32MP and four rear cameras to 16MP and three rear cameras, despite the fact that the display is larger. It even only has Bluetooth 4.2.
Upgrades may be seen in the 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and Android 11 operating system. The F2 was equipped with 6GB of RAM and Android 10. So, if you’re searching for a replacement for your F2, the F3 may not be the best option. The Umidigi Bison GT2, Bison GT2 Pro, Bison GT2 5G, or Bison GT2 Pro 5G are all excellent options.
Who knows, maybe an Umidigi F3 5G will appear in the future. However, the Umidigi F3 is still a good mid-range smartphone for viewing movies and browsing the web at a reasonable price.
Design and Display
The matte coating on the Umidigi F3 is curved. Hawaii Blue, Matte Silver, Starry Black, Sunglow Gold, and Galaxy Blue are the colors available. The back of the phone has a hump that houses the three rear cameras and the twin LED flash.
The front camera is housed in a dewdrop notch on the front. The fingerprint sensor and the power button are both situated on the right side of the phone.
The configurable buttons that we saw in the Umidigi A13, Umidigi A13s, and A13 Pro are on the left. This button can be customized to offer you rapid access to an app or a phone feature, such as turning on the flashlight, with a single click, double click, or long-press.
The display on the Umidigi F3 is 6.7 inches. This is larger than the F2’s 6.53-inch display, however, the resolution has been reduced from 1080 x 2340 to 720 x 1650 pixels. On paper, the display should be excellent for viewing movies and browsing the web, but it does not appear to equal the quality of the F2.
