What is tongue piercing?
Anybody modification that involves piercing a piece of jewellery through the tongue is known as a tongue piercing. However, tongue piercings come in a variety of styles.
The most popular is the midline piercing, which is a vertical piercing that involves a needle passing straight through the centre of the tongue from top to bottom.

On the tongue, basically, any vertical or horizontal piercing arrangement is feasible.
How painful is tongue piercing
While the tongue may appear to be a sensitive location to pierce due to its sensitivity to tastes and touch, it is actually a low-pain option.
There is less “pain” because the needle is only travelling through connective tissue rather than cartilage or skin, and it is deemed manageable.
So if you are thinking of going for a tongue piercing but you are scared of the pain it will cost this is mainly for you as you have found out now that it actually does not hurt that much.
