Teachers’ Pension: TESCOM Begins Virtual Verification Exercise for Pensioners. Continue Reading to Know more about this programme.
We are pleased to announce to you that The Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has started the Online Teachers’ Pensioners Verification Exercise.
The major aim of this program is to give another opportunity to those who were not added to the payroll because he did not appear in the previous verification exercises to be re-en-listed and be paid.
Mrs. Elizabeth Olabisi Ariyo, who is the chairman of the commission made this clear while speaking on the exercise said that the program is in line with the State’s Pensions Policy which audit pensioners annually so that they could be able to update the old payroll in the pension scheme.
According to her, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to go inline wit the Covid-19 protocols, the verification would be done virtually on WhatsApp
“I am very optimistic that the virtual verification will be more convenient for pensioners, both at home and abroad, as they will be verified in the comfort of their homes,” she said.
Other reasons for the visual verification is that the method would make the verification easier and also create room for the sick to participate I nth verification wherever they are.

Also, Mrs. Elizabeth Olabisi Ariyo noted that the process will give the commission an opportunity to delete names of pensioners that are deceased.
The chairman also advises all pensioners who are teachers to participate in the coming visual exercises which is ending on Friday, February 26, 2021.
