The Oppo Reno 5 4G is the non-5G sister of the Oppo Reno 5 5G, which was released earlier this year. Apart from the lack of 5G connectivity, the performance hardware configuration deteriorates as we progress from the former to the latter. This package is a more cost-effective choice.
The Oppo Reno 5 4G design is a carbon copy of its 5G counterpart. It would be tough to tell the two Android smartphones differently unless you are familiar with the differences in their color variants.
Black and silver are the color options available here, whereas the Reno 5 5G has a trio option that includes Aurora Blue, Moonlight Black, and Starry Dream.
A square camera module with four cameras, an LED flash, and brief textual information can be found in the chassis design setup. The Oppo branding is also on the back, indicating that this is an Oppo smartphone.
Upfront, we see a 6.43-inch display that is nearly identical to that of its 5G sibling; the only change is that the density has decreased slightly from 410 PPI on the 5G sibling to 409 PPI here. This display features a 1080 x 2400 resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz.
The Cameras
The cameras are nearly identical to those found on its 5G sister, with the exception of the selfie camera, which has been improved. It went from 32MP on the 5G model to 44MP on this one, with an aperture of f/2.4.
The back camera configuration is identical to that of its 5G equivalent. A 64MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.7 plus an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 119-degree field of view and an aperture of f/2.2 make up this configuration.
A 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 2MP depth camera with an aperture of f/2.4 is the other members of the series.
