Huawei P40 4G – Full Phone Specifications

The introduction of the Huawei P40 4G demonstrates Huawei’s understanding that, given the current lack of widespread adoption of 5G technology, it is preferable not to force all enthusiasts to pay a premium for 5G connectivity. For enthusiasts who do not consider the 5G on the normal Huawei P40 5G to be required, the P40 4G stands in as a more cheap alternative.

Design and Display

The design of the Huawei P40 4G is identical to that of the P40 5G model. In essence, Huawei copied and pasted, which in my opinion isn’t a horrible concept. There are several advantages to this design, which is good. Before we go to analyze the chassis positions, do note that the chassis build consists of Gorilla Glass on the rear, gorilla glass up front, and aluminium on the frame.

On the rear, we have a square camera module housing four cameras and an LED flash. The Huawei marking, which identifies the phone as a Huawei one, is also on the back. For those who want to acquire the Huawei P40 4G, there are only two colour options available: Frost Silver and Dark Blue, which are two less than the P40’s normal palette. A dual-camera cut-out is present up front on a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a density of 442 PPI.

The Cameras

Being a 4G-only model, the Huawei P40’s 4G capabilities are in no way diminished. In actuality, it has the same assortment of cameras as the normal P40. Here, we have a dual-camera arrangement up front in addition to a triple camera setup on the back.

A 50MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.9, an 8MP telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.4, and a 16MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2 make up the quad-camera configuration on the back of the device. This camera can record videos at a frame rate of up to 4k. m

A 32MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and a TOF 3D sensor is available for selfies.

Hardware and Software

Enthusiasts will receive performance that is essentially the same as that of the P40 standard. Here, the CPU makes a difference; the former supports 5G, whilst the latter does not.

An Octa-core Kirin 990 processor with a 7nm+ process, a Mali-G76 MP16 GPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a non-removable 3800mAh battery are all included in the performance train. Additionally, enthusiasts will enjoy the convenience of a 22.5W rapid charging system.

The Huawei P40 4G’s operating system is Android 10 with EMUI on top of it. Please be aware, though, that users of this device will not be able to access Google services due to US sanctions.
