It is known that jean lasts for a long time as some can stay with you for 10years but have you noticed that they change colour and sometimes quality and you wonder what you are doing wrong to your jeans.
How to care for jeans
cold wash
When you get new jean the ideal thing to do before wearing them is to wash them first. Whether it is new or old jeans always use cold water.
Use a good detergent
Avoid bleaching detergent so instead, go for the ones that are meant for dark clothing to help maintain the colour.
Turn your jeans inside out
When washing your jean you should turn them inside out cause this way to are able to reach the part that touches your skin more which will make it easy to get dirt and oil out of your trouser fast and also this method will help maintain the colour.
Do not wash often
You should only wash your jean after 3-5 wear to help maintain the colour. Instead of washing it often use a damp cloth or brush to scrub off dirt on the part that is stained.
If you are using a washing machine to wash your jean set your machine to the gentle cycle.
Air-dry your jean
After washing place your jean on a hanger then place them in an area with good airflow.
