How to Use a Heated Eyelash Curler

Using a heated eyelash curler can seem especially scary given how torturous it looks to use a standard eyelash curler. But occasionally, eyelash hair simply won’t listen, just like ordinary hair, so it’s time to turn up the heat.

Imagine it as a curling iron: a little heat will help you better form your eyelash hair for a more durable grip. Particularly for those who find it difficult to maintain a curl, heated eyelash curlers are perfect for achieving a more defined lift and lengthening one. The best thing, though? It works with any kind of lash. Anyone can (and should) use a hot lash curl to get their lashes curled.

How to Use a Heated Eyelash Curler

1. Begin by having neat lashes. Wet or damp lashes won’t keep their curl and will revert to their original form.

2. Use a standard eyelash curler to make your lashes curly (if desired). Using both varieties of curlers can help you get the biggest lift.

3. Select a temperature setting based on your comfort level and eyelashes. It is preferable to start with the lowest setting and only increase as necessary.

4. To allow the heat to penetrate, position the lash curler close to the root of the lash and slowly draw the curler upward along the lashes (as if you were ironing your lashes against your lid) for at least 10 seconds.

5. Until you achieve the desired lift and curl, repeat this action. Some areas might require repeated inspection.

6. Comb over them and apply a few coats of your preferred mascara to seal in your curled lashes.
