Design and Display
The Gionee M11 has a beautiful and respectable body shape. Despite being made of plastic, the phone feels more expensive because of the smooth panel. It weighs 175 grams and has body measurements of 160.0 x 758 x 8.4 mm. The two colour choices for the phone were Dream Blue and Jade Green. Later, the company also releases Star Black as the device’s third colour option.
The Gionee M11 has a 6.217-inch display on its glass-covered front. The screen features a density of 267 PPI, a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It also uses a 2.5D curved glass cover and IPS LCD technology.
Camera
According to the Gionee Nigeria website, the camera setup includes a 16MP primary camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor.
However, based on appearances, the 2MP sensor is interpolated to 5MP, or perhaps some versions of the Gionee M11 include a secondary camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels.
The front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels, which appears to be interpolated to 8 megapixels in some variants. Both cameras will provide beautiful images and high-definition video.
Hardware and Software
The Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset, built using a 12nm process, powers the Gionee M11. The device’s octa-core processor operates at a 2.0 GHz clock speed.
The internal PowerVR GE8320 GPU, however, claims to be capable of handling any visual task. The phone starts up with the Android 9.0 Pie operating system. There are 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM on the phone. Another model comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage, and another has a massive 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. A micro SD card can still be used to increase the memory, but only up to 128GB.
