Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix – Full Phone Specifications

The Asus Rog Phone 3 Strix is a significantly less powerful version of the normal Asus ROG Phone 3. The key story here is the migration from the Snapdragon 865 Plus chip, to the normal Snapdragon 865 processor, which is 10 per cent lower. Furthermore, the RAM is much less. The rest of the features are mainly the same.

Regarding the Asus Rog Phone 3 Strix’s chassis design, not much can be said. This is as a result of its resemblance to the regular Asus Rog Phone 3. It has the same chassis placements and the same build.

Speaking of construction, this smartphone has an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass 6 and 3 on the front and back, respectively. Much like its more premium sister, wireless charging as well as water and dust resistance, which is wanted of weird for a smartphone with this kind of construction.

Asus claimed the reason they didn’t incorporate wireless charge, was because of required space for other more vital features. Because to the air vents on the back, the Rog Phone 3 Strix is not water-resistant. The triple camera system, LED flash, air vent, and ROG logo on the back of this smartphone serve as indicators that it is an Asus model.

A 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340, a screen density of 391 PPI, compatibility for HDR10+, and a refresh rate of 144Hz—exactly the same as the Red magic 5G—is located up front.

The Cameras

Similar cameras and sensors are found in the photography department of the more expensive Asus ROG phone 3. A single-camera is located up front for selfies, and there is a triple camera system on the back.

A 64MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8, a 13MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.4, and a 5MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.0 make up the triple back camera.

Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G, this camera configuration can capture films at a maximum resolution of 8K 30 frames per second.

A single 24MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture is used for taking selfies. This camera can record videos at a maximum resolution of 1080p at 30 frames per second.

Hardware and Software

With the exception of the processor and RAM configurations, which decreased, the hardware setup here is essentially equal to that of the normal Asus Rog Phone 3, as was mentioned in the introduction.

The Asus Rog Phone 3 Strix is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 CPU, which is 10% less powerful than the ROG phone 3’s Snapdragon 865 Plus chip.

A non-removable 6000mAh battery, 8GB of iRAM, 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and an Adreno 650 graphics processor are also included.

On the software side, the Android 10 operating system is running the ROG user interface.
